Four Pokémon Orders, One Energy Card: My Whatnot Experience

I recently bought several sealed Pokémon “30th Anniversary” products from a seller on Whatnot across four separate orders. The seller had strong feedback, so I felt comfortable placing the orders.

As soon as I placed the order, the seller blocked me. The seller then requested local pickup through Whatnot Support, even though I had never asked for or agreed to local pickup.

When the parcel arrived, it didn’t contain the products I’d bought. It contained a single Energy card.

I raised my issue with Whatnot, which later acknowledged my report. A friend of mine also ordered 30th Anniversary products from the same seller. They told me their parcel contained two Energy cards and that they received a refund. Whatnot is now working to resolve my case, and I’ll update this post when I have a confirmed outcome.

I’m sharing this because strong feedback can be reassuring, but it isn’t a guarantee that every transaction will go smoothly. Keep your order details and messages, check what arrives against what you bought, and report a problem through the platform so there’s a record of it.

At Burn & Collect Trading Cards, we believe trust comes from being clear about what you’re buying and treating people fairly. We want every customer to feel good about their order, and if something isn’t right, we want to hear about it and work to make it right.

I’m not sharing this to encourage anyone to contact or target the seller. I’m describing what happened in my own case, and I’ll stick to what I can document.
